Application of Woodworking Tools in Decoration Construction

In decoration construction projects, woodworking is a type of work that requires extremely high precision in dimensions. The tools used by woodworkers are diverse and numerous, and both traditional hand tools and modern electric power tools have distinctive features. This article introduces the types and functions of commonly used woodworking tools in construction.

1. Simple Portable Woodworking Table Saw

Woodworkers mainly use two types of table saws.

The other is a simple portable one, assembled temporarily on site.

Workers usually mount a circular saw upside down on a self-made workbench.

4. Jig Saw

The jig saw is mainly used for cutting various types of wood and non-metal materials. Its saw blade is mostly made of carbon steel with high hardness and fast cutting efficiency. Its working principle is that the motor drives the reciprocating rod and the saw blade to move back and forth for cutting.

5. Electric Planer

The electric planer is a hand-held power tool for planing operations. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, smooth and flat planed surface. It is mainly used for surface planing, chamfering and notching of various woods.

In actual construction, the utilization rate of the electric planer is relatively low. It is mostly used in the production of solid wood furniture and decorative backgrounds. When the surface of solid wood materials is rough and manual planing is laborious, the electric planer can be used for rough leveling first, and then refined by a hand planer.
